Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia will, on Monday, June 8, launch the National Digital Payment Platform called Ghana.GOV to enhance the Government’s Digitization Agenda.

The platform, www.ghana.gov.gh, will serve as a single interface to enable the public to access government services electronically from the Ministries, Departments and Agencies ((MDAs).

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, giving details about the ceremony, on Saturday, said the platform would also improve service delivery and revenue mobilisation.

Also, it would reduce government expenditure because there would be no need to construct physical infrastructure for collecting government revenues since the digital platform would serve that purpose, he said.

Additionally, it would reduce human interface in accessing government services, and help minimise bribery and corruption, with the ultimate goal of enhancing transparency and accountability.

The platform would be a single gateway for the making payments of government services.
