1,000 Police Officers For Hearts - Kotoko Match

More than 1,000 police officers are to be deployed to the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Sunday, to ensure security and safety during the historic clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their first leg of the confederations cup finals.

Military personnel will also be deployed at the stadium, to augment the strength of security personnel at the stadium. Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ACP Kofi Boakye warned supporters of both clubs to comport themselves, or have themselves, or have themselves to blame.

He said anybody arrested for committing an offence would be put straight behind bars. He also warned the two clubs especially Accra Hearts of Oak who are the Home team, that they would be banned from playing matches at the stadium, should their supporters misbehave.

Meanwhile, the leadership of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko has pledged to ensure that both the first and second leg matches are played free of violence.
