The Premier League Board (PLB) has released the fixtures for the 2012/13 Glo Premier League season which is set to get underway on October 7 of which the first round is expected to end on January 13, 2013.
Glo Premier League Champions Asante Kotoko will open the 2012/13 season at home to newly promoted Amidaus Professionals.
Last season’s runners-up AshantiGold will head up North to face returnees Real Tamale United at the Tamale Stadium on match-day 1, while FA Cup winners New Edubiase United host Tarkwa-based Medeama SC at the Bekwai Park.
Accra Hearts of Oak will have to kick the season off from where Champions Asante Kotoko kicked off the past season on the Tema artificial pitch against Tema Youth.
Also on the opening weekend, Berekum Arsenals will play away to Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs who will continue to serve their home match ban at the Len Clay Stadium and city rivals Chelsea will welcome Kpando Heart of Lions at the Golden City Park while Aduana Stars and returnees King Faisal face Wa All Stars and Liberty Professionals respectively.
The Baba Yara Stadium will be the venue to host the first leg of the biggest derby of the season between arch rivals Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak. The match comes off on Sunday November 18.
