2014 MTN FA Cup Awards confirmed for August 9

The organizing Committee of the MTN FA Cup has confirmed August 9 as date for the annual awards gala where top performers in the 2014 competition will be decorated with their prizes.

This season’s awards night has been scheduled to be held at the usual Banquet Hall, State House venue in Accra.

According to the Director of operations at the FA Cup committee, Kurt Okraku, plans are already underway to host a memorable night with nominee list for the various award categories to be revealed soon.

Awards categories which candidates will vie for include the Most Valuable Player which was last won by Medeama SC midfielder Joseph Gordon, Coach of the Tournament, Goal of the Tournament, Discovery of the Tournament, Defender of the Tournament, Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Top scorer of the Tournament.

Asante Kotoko defeated Inter Allies 2-1 after extra time in the finals of the 2014 edition.
