Mamunatu Sulemana believes it will take extra work for the Black Queens to make it out of the groups having been drawn together with Cameroon, Algeria and Mali.

The three countries joined Ghana in Group A of the Women’s Cup of Nations tournament which kick starts next Month.

The Black Queens who are chasing their first ever Cup of Nations title will need to surpass the hurdle in the group stage.

Mamunatu despite being optimistic about the team’s chances insist Coach Bashir Hayford and his girls will need to do more to make it out of the groups.

“I must admit is a tough one, this time around there is no minors in football,” he told the Press.

“Yes we are very familiar with Cameroon because we have played them a lot of times and I think they are one of the best teams currently in Africa.

“Playing them at the group stage will be difficult. Mali and Algeria have really developed and they have played in previous tournaments.

“Algeria defeated us 2-1 in 2014 and we failed to qualify from the groups, so is not going to be easy at all trust me.

“But I believe the ladies will live up to expectation and try to win their games in the groups.”

The Black Queens have been in camping for the past four months preparing for the competition.
