2018 CAF Women's AFCON: LOC to outdoor mascot in May

The Chairperson for the Local Organizing Committee for the 2018 Total CAF Women's African Cup of Nations Hon Freda Prempeh has disclosed that the LOC will outdoor the mascot for the tournament in the month of May.

Speaking in an interview with Angel TV on the weekend during their sports Program "On the Turf"Hon Freda Prempeh noted that the mascot will go across the country in order to create awareness about the tournament.

She further observed that the LOC will launch its theme song soon. The theme song for the 2018 Total CAF Women's African Cup of Nations will be done by Grace Ashy,Wiyala and Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

"Our theme song will be launched soon. It would be done by Grace Ashy, Wiyala and Asamoah Gyan. Afterwards,we would also make known our website. We have also started planning for our opening ceremony. We have lots of programs lined up for the Women's AFCON" she said.

The 2018 Total CAF Women's Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Ghana from the 17th November- 1st December was launched last Friday at the Alisa Hotel. It had in attendance most dignitaries including the Chief of Staff Madam Frema Osei Opare,Liberia's First Lady Clar Weah,Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah and many others.
