Inter Milan’s Kwadwo Asamoah, Christian Atsu of Newcastle United and America-based Ebenezer Ofori have joined Black Stars camp in Ethiopia.
The Blacks Stars are lodging at the Capital Hotel in Addis Ababa to prepare for Saturday’s AFCON qualifier against Kenya.
Kwadwo Asamoah is returning to the national team since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Columbus Crew’s Harrison Afful is the only player who hasn’t reported but the former Esperance full-back is scheduled to join his teammates later today to give coach Kwesi Appiah a full squad ahead of the tricky encounter against the Harambee Stars who are looking forward to picking their first points of the qualification after a 2-1 away loss at Sierra Leone in June last year .
Sixteen players took part in the team’s first training session on Tuesday evening and preparations continues today with the nineteen players in camp.
The team will hold their last training session in the Ethiopian capital on Thursday morning before enplaning to Nairobi where they will train on the pitch of the Moi International sports center on before Saturday’s game.
