The Black Stars of Ghana suffered a shocking 0-1 defeat at the hands of Kenya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifier played in Kenya this afternoon.
A first-half own goal by Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku proved decisive as Kenya picked their first 3 points from the qualifiers.
The Black Stars who were huge favourites heading into the game have only themselves to blame after squandering numerous chances to pull parity and even go on to win this game.
Christian Atsu, Raphael Dwamena and Afriyie Acquah were the culprits as they squandered glorious chances during the game.
Kenya even played the last 25 minutes of the game with 10 men after Oyango was sent off for hacking down Majeed Waris in the second half.
Ghana still leads Group F with 3 points and cannot afford any further slip-ups if they want to qualify for next year's AFCON.
