King Faisal FC staged a late comeback to draw 1-1 with WAFA SC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday but are winless in nine matches.

The Academy Boys are still unbeaten on the road in five matches but were lucky not have conceded a goal or two in the first half where the home team were vibrant and athletic.

In the fifth minute, King Faisal were close to finding the opener when Ibrahim Osman managed to stick out his right foot to scoop the ball over on-rushing Bilson but it came off the cross-back.

The home team continued to pile pressure and Bilson was called upon once again-this time he palmed away Frimpong Boateng's powerful free-kick.

WAFA managed to reply but Augustine Boakye's half volley inside the box was a mis-kicked one.

Goalkeeper Bilson deserved the applause again when he produced a point-blank save to deny Samuel Kusi who delivered a left footed powerful shot inside the box.

Chances were few from King Faisal in the second half after WAFA tightened their midfield after revising the strategy.

Abdul Karim cynically brought down Eric Asamany inside the box and referee Mahama Ewuntomah made no mistake.

Captain Abukari Ibrahim converted it expertly to open the scoring.

Substitute Samuel Moya brought on a lot of spark and managed to win a penalty late on.

Mohammed Mustapha picked the ball up and made no mistake in putting it at the back of the net.

Man of the Match:
