Black Stars skipper Andre Dede Ayew has urged his colleague teammates to remain united and fight on in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt.

In the round of 16, the Black Stars will be playing Tunisia, who have failed to overcome the West African side on seven different occasions at the Afcon, losing six times and drawing once.

Ayew told ClassSports’ Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang, who is in Egypt covering the tournament that: “The past is the past and in Ismailia, we scored two goals against Benin even though we did not win, and we should focus on the present and the present is doing what we did today (Tuesday, 2 July 2019): playing together tactically, physically going on every ball. Football is about being smart. It is not only about taking the ball and running all over the pitch.

“We need to stay as a team and a unit and once we do that, I have no doubt in my mind that the lads would deliver,” Ayew said after the win over Guinea-Bissau in the final round of Group Games.

ClassSports’ coverage of the 2019 Afcon is proudly sponsored by Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic – experts at dealing with stroke, infertility and bone settings; Medi Moses Prostate Centre – producers of Prostacure Herbal Tea and Masta Tea; and Forever Construction & Consultancy Limited, Sunset Food Processing – producers and manufacturers of yoghurt-based products.

The others are Akorli’s Inn – the new address for contemporary executive entertainment at Oyarifa, Teiman; Bid-well Homes Company, where you sleep with comfort; Time Herbal Mixture, the most potent herbal mixture effective for malaria, loss of appetite and general body pains; De Time Centre, retailers of exquisite brand of watches; Nana Takyi Bitters and JM Addo and Sons.
