Dreams FC elevated their hopes of survival in the Ghana Premier League by defeating Karela United 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu, during match week 32.

The win means the 'Still Believe' lads are now two points clear of the relegation zone, with 41 points and two games in hand.

After this loss, Karela United finds itself in a precarious situation, sitting just one point above the relegation zone.

Youngster Abdul Aziz Issah scored the winning goal in first-half stoppage time, sending them into the break with an advantage and eventually securing the game at 1-0.

There were no further goals in the match as both sides played cautiously, refraining from committing too many players forward.

Karela United finished the game with ten men after Samuel Arthur was sent off five minutes before the end of the match.

Dreams FC is set to take on Great Olympics on Wednesday in an outstanding game, while Karela will face the champions-elect, Samartex, over the weekend.
