Dreams FC will have to wait a bit longer for their first win of the campaign as they suffered a narrow defeat to visiting Nations FC at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

The Still Believe were hoping their new home ground would bring the first three points of the season they craved.

Karim Zito and his charges knew Nations would be a hard nut to crack as Mingle's team had conceded just once this term.

As expected, both teams began the match at a high tempo, and an evenly contested first half ended in a goalless draw.

After the recess, both sides nullified the threats posed by their opponents, but the defining moment of the game came when Barimah Baah's cross was met by Nafiu Sulemana in the 80th minute to give the visitors the lead.

Dreams fought back to get the equalizer, but the robust Nations defended with their lives to deny their hosts.

The win, which is Mingle's second of the season, moves his side to 4th position in the league standings, while Dreams are in the danger zone.

The Still Believe will travel to another bottom-three side, Aduana Stars, for their next game, while Nations will host Gold Stars.
