Sports journalist Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has urged political parties to maintain decorum during the 2024 general elections.

He emphasized that anyone attempting to incite violence due to misunderstandings during the elections will face strict action from security officials.

As the host of "Fire for Fire" on Adom TV, Songo advised Ghanaians to remain disciplined and resist any attempts by politicians to incite chaos, as it would jeopardize the nation's peace and stability.

Songo called on political parties and their supporters to accept the election results peacefully and avoid resorting to violence if they lose.

"Political parties must be cautious with their actions during the elections to ensure peace. Those who threaten violence if they lose should be warned that they will not be spared. Anyone attempting to cause chaos and vandalism will face severe consequences.

"We will not allow disorder. Accept whatever position you get peacefully. Politicians only care about our votes, yet they end up exploiting us," he said in Twi on Adom TV.

Meanwhile, various political candidates, including John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will be vying for the presidential seat on December 7, 2024.
