England midfielder of Ghanaian descent, Kobbie Mainoo, was a star for the Three Lions on Wednesday night when England defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in the 2024 European Championship.
The youngster started for his country today in the second semi-final game of the ongoing tournament in Germany.
He was outstanding for England, especially in the first half, where he dictated play for most parts of the contest.
His impressive outing played a key role as the Three Lions came from a goal down to overcome the Dutch.
In the game today, Xavi Simons scored with a screamer in the 7th minute to give the Netherlands an early lead.
Later, in the 18th minute, England won a penalty kick which was converted by Harry Kane to restore parity to the contest.
The winning goal would be delayed and come only in the 90th minute through a strike from substitute Ollie Watkins.
The 2-1 win has sent England to the finals of the 2024 Euros to face Spain.
Young sensation Kobbie Mainoo will hope to win his first international trophy with England by helping the side beat Spain in the final on Sunday, July 14.
