Reigning African Women's High Jump champion, Rose Amoanemaah Yeboah, failed to progress to the finals in the Women's High Jump in the 2024 Olympic Games.
Making her debut as well as becoming the first Ghanaian female high jumper to compete at the Olympics, she qualified from the prelims on the third attempt.
Rose, initially, failed the first two before clearing the 1.88m on the third attempt to progress to the next round.
However, after yet another three attempts, the Ghanaian rising star failed to clear the 1.92m and make it to the final.
She eventually finished 14th, narrowly missing out on the 12 high jumpers who sailed through to the final on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Rose Amoanemaah Yeboah has become Ghana's second athlete after Harry Stacey to compete at the 2024 Olympics out of the 9 participating athletes.
Both were eliminated in the first round with Stacey finishing 7th in the Men's 100m freestyle.

Nonetheless, she deserves encouragement. She should be incredibly proud of herself. #Paris2024 pic.twitter.com/TJiM4iDKPy
