Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, remains optimistic about Team Ghana's chances of winning a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Despite the team's slow start after Day 5, she believes they can still make the nation proud.
She urged those losing faith to continue supporting the athletes, encouraging them to perform their best.
“At the end of day 5, don’t worry, Ghana will win something. We just don’t know what, where and when…” she wrote on her X page on July 31, 2024.
So far, Team Ghana's performance has been underwhelming. Swimmer Harry Stacey failed to qualify for the semi-finals, finishing seventh in his race.
Ghana is represented by eight athletes competing in the 4×100 men’s relay, men’s 100 and 200 meters, high jump, and swimming events.
There is hope that the 4×100 men’s relay team could achieve something significant if they can resolve their recurring baton change issues.
