A Sudan Football Association official, Badrelin Ibrahim, has confirmed that Sudan's home game against Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged at the Juba National Stadium in South Sudan.

Due to political instability in Sudan, the national team has been playing their home qualifying games away from home, including some in Libya.

Speaking with Angel TV, Ibrahim confirmed that their home games for both the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will be at the Juba Stadium, which recently underwent renovations and was inaugurated in June 2024.

"Sudan will be playing AFCON qualifying games and also the World Cup qualifying games in South Sudan at the new Juba stadium. We are excited to play in such an environment. There was an inauguration match there where we won 3-0," said Ibrahim.

He believes that the Falcons of Jediane will receive support from both Sudanese and South Sudanese, which will be significant for the team.

"The support from both the Sudanese and South Sudanese will be crucial when we host our qualifying matches there," he added.

Ghana will face Sudan, which is coached by former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah, making the match one of the most anticipated games in the qualifiers.

The Black Stars, during the draw on Thursday, July 4, 2024, were placed in Group F with Angola, Sudan, and Niger for the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.
