FC Lorient defender Nathaniel Adjei has been named in Ghana's squad ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Adjei has been outstanding for the Orange lads since joining from Swedish outfit Hammarby in January.
The Brittany-based club paid €7.5 million to sign the guardsman, and it has looked like smart business from the start.
The 22-year-old’s superlative performances for FC Lorient have been rewarded with a call-up to the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Adjei was handed a call-up to the Ghana team for their two friendly clashes against Nigeria and Uganda in March.
However, he had to withdraw from the squad after picking up an ankle knock.
Adjei previously turned out for all the junior national teams but is now making the big leap into the senior squad.
