Assistant coach of Sudan, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, is upbeat ahead of the clash against Ghana on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Sudan will take on Ghana in the first of two games to be played this month in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

At a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu said Sudan will set up strong to fight for a win against the Black Stars.

“The mission is to qualify for the AFCON. It’s only unfortunate that we have Ghana as our next opponent. But for us, we just want to qualify, and for us, any team that comes our way, we try to do the job.

"For us, what is in the game will surely come, and what will happen will happen,” the Sudan assistant coach said.

The first meeting between Ghana and Sudan on Thursday will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm.
