Angola are currently the leaders in Group F after securing their second three points with a win over Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Panthers beat Sudan 2-1 in Luanda on Monday, September 10, 2024.

Both sides failed to produce a goal after the first 45 minutes of action in the first half.

The Angolans managed to break the deadlock six minutes into the second half after Milson won his team a penalty.

Striker Mabululu dispatched it into the net to put the Angolans ahead.

Later, Sudan leveled up with a strike from Mustafa Karshoum in the 55th minute.

The hosts, who were unrelenting, found the back of the net once again through Randy Nteka's deflected shot in the 81st minute.

The defeat was coach Kwasi Appiah's first loss in five competitive matches since taking over the Sudan national team.

With the win, Angola is in 1st place with 6 points, followed by Sudan in 2nd with 3 points, while Ghana and Niger share the 3rd and 4th places with 1 point each.

The qualifiers continue in October, with Angola facing Niger and Sudan locking horns with Ghana in double headers.
