Sudan head coach, Jame Akwasi Appiah has praised his side for their impressive but insists there is more work to be done.
Appiah led his side to record a hard-fought 1-0 win against Niger in their opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Wednesday at the Juba Stadium.
Abo Eisa scored the lone goal as Falcons secured their first three points.
“I thank the players for working hard to get the three points as we started the qualifiers," Appiah said after the game.
"There is still a lot of work to be done because we have many more matches to be played in the group," he added.
The win has propelled Kwesi Appiah's side to the 2nd spot in Group F with three points with Angola sitting top of the group with the same points.
Kwesi Appiah will lead the Falcon for the second group game against Angola on Monday, September 9 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro before facing Ghana in the next round of qualifiers.
Kick-off is scheduled at 19:00GMT.
