Accra, April 15, GNA - Kumesh Ghana Limited, local agents of Panasonic Electronics on Friday became the first ever sponsors of Dansoman-based Premier league side, Liberty Professionals with a 3.2 billion cedi package to be spread across four years.
Liberty will receive 800 million cedis each year in the four-year renewable sponsorship agreement signed by the Founder, Alhaji Sly Tetteh on behalf of the Club and Mr Kumar Girdhari Thakur, Managing Director on behalf of Kumesh.
The package, according to Mr Thakur is to motivate the "Scientific Soccer Lads" for both their local and continental assignments. The company will also provide the team with Panasonic branded jerseys during the four-year contract.
As a result of the agreement, the Dansoman-based club will use an all-white Panasonic branded jerseys for all their home matches with black and red jerseys for their away matches.
The company in addition outlined motivational packages such as the "Player of the Season" and the "Top Scorer" of the Club awards as well as the "Most Valuable Player" (MVP) of each game for the playing body. Mr Thakur expressed the conviction that the sponsorship package would buoy the confidence of the team and improve their performance in the coming seasons.
"I believe the new commitment would enable you strive for bigger things in the season, which begins on Sunday".
Alhaji Tetteh described Liberty's desire for excellence as their hallmark and assured the company, Kumesh that, "I promise you that you would not be disappointed by this gesture".
He said the club would channel their entire energies towards the attainment of laurels to justify their desire to achieve success.
