30 clubs to participate in Central Division Two league

Cape Coast July 10 ,GNA-Thirty football clubs in the Central Region will participate in the regional division Two league which kicks off at all centres on August One.

The decision was taken at a regional executive council meeting held at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Thursday.

The meeting presided over by Mr Jojo Duncan, chairman of the council and Mr Samuel Doe, chairman of the regional football association, discussed among other issues, the forthcoming league and the proposed regional congress to elect a president for the congress.

It also decided that the league be played in three zones, and that the registration of players should close on July 25.

According to Mr Doe, at the end of the league, only the winner and first runners-ups (two teams) from each zone, shall qualify to take part in the super zonal tournament to declare the champion of the league. He appealed to chairmen of participating clubs to ensure that their players and supporters exhibit good sportsmanship during the league.
