Former Black Queens captain Grace Adwoa Bayor returned to football on Wednesday to feature for Immigration Ladies in their victory over Samaria Ladies in the NC Special women’s competition.
The former Women's Africa Footballer of the Year played full throttle and helped her side record their first win in the competition, thanks to Patience Narh’s solitary strike.
The 39 year old, a registered player of Immigration Ladies, had only watched the games from the bench in the last three matches but made an appearance for the first time on Wednesday afternoon.
Adwoa Bayor opted to return to active football after sometime off the pitch.
She represented Ghana at the 1999, 2003 and 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup and also played at six Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournaments.
