Udinese and Black Stars player Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has told Kasapa FM about 80 percent of football agents are fake.
In an interview with Tony Adam Adjei on Dwedwamu he said after years of dealing with all manner of agents, he’s gotten to a point in his career where he is able to tell the good from the bad.
Speaking on a possible move from his club next season, Badu said he’s had several dealings with some agents, majority of which went bad, and which has informed his claim.
” As for the agents more than 80 percent of them are fake. You know me i speak my mind.
“Once i was approached by an agent who said oh i have a club for you in England; can you give me a mandate? And you know because in England you need a mandate before you negotiate on behalf of any player, i had to give him.
“That was during the time when Liverpool had expressed interest. The deal went bad because it turned out he went in there to mess it up.
“So i have grown wiser now.
“My current agent is examining a number of deals. We speak everyday and he tells me he receives about 300 phone calls. So let’s see what will come out of it.
“But in the meantime, i am to committed to Udinese. I had a good season last year and would want to continue that form.”
