Ghana international Mohammed Salisu has expressed excitement after helping AS Monaco beat Barcelona 3-0 in the preseason friendly match played on Monday, August 13, 2024.
Salisu played the entire match and played a crucial role in securing a clean sheet for Monaco at Stade Louis II.
The first half saw both teams unable to score, but Monaco came to life in the second half, netting three goals.
Salisu's tough presence in defence for Monaco secured the win with goals from Lamina Camara, Breel Embolo, and Christian Mawissa.
Reacting to the AS Monaco's win, the Ghanaian defender took to social media to express his delight.
“A good way to end the preseason. Well done lads,” he wrote on Instagram.
With a standout preseason performance, Salisu is looking forward to a successful season with Monaco.
The team will kick off their French Ligue 1 campaign against Saint Etienne on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
