Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo celebrated his 50th club appearance for AFC Bournemouth in their EFL Cup clash against West Ham United, despite the team suffering a defeat.

Bournemouth acknowledged the milestone on their official social media platforms, posting, "Despite the result, a milestone achieved by

@antoinesemenyo1."

Antoine Semenyo transferred to AFC Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023.

In the match this evening, fellow Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus made a significant impact, providing an assist in West Ham's 1-0 victory.

Kudus, who came on in the 74th minute to replace Niclas Füllkrug, secured his first attacking contribution of the season. Semenyo entered the game in the 68th minute, replacing Luis Sinisterra.

The head-to-head record before the game stood at six wins for West Ham, five for Bournemouth, and five draws. Despite Bournemouth's dominance in possession, West Ham had more shots on goal. Bournemouth's lack of finishing was punished when Jarrod Bowen scored from Kudus' 88th-minute strike, with no VAR to offer relief.

Both teams will return to Premier League action on Saturday, with West Ham hosting reigning champions Manchester City and Bournemouth traveling to Goodison Park to face Everton.
