The former New Edubiase captain remains coy on his future, having courted interest from several top clubs

AIK Fotboll midfielder Ebenezer Ofori says his future is still unsettled, following several reports of a possible move away from the Swedish topflight.

The 20-year-old, who capped an impressive year with the 2015 Allsvenskan Midfielder of the Season award, has increasingly been linked with moves to German side Wolfsburg, Copenhagen and Palermo.

“I cannot predict my future now because no one knows what the future holds,” Ofori told Goal.

“As a staunch Christian, I leave my future in the hands of God. If He says: ‘Ofori, it’s time to move’, I’ll move.

“It’s not only about moving from team to team but also about building yourself to be better for the best.”

The versatile midfielder, who can equally play at left-back, also shed some light on his end of season gong.

“I am excited, and sometimes, I’m tempted to think it’s a dream,” Ofori added.

“This is one of the biggest leagues in the world and for me to have been chosen as the best midfielder is a great honour.

“But then again, I know I deserve this and I know I must work harder than I ever have because this is just the beginning of something great to come.

“It means a lot to me, this has been a long-awaited moment. For so many years, I have been praying and working towards this and God chose to give it to me at this time of the season.”

A member of Ghana’s side at the 2013 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, Ofori made 27 league appearances as AIK finished third in the 2015 Swedish topflight.
