Abdul Mumin's astonishing goal against Osasuna nominated for La Liga Goal of the Month

Black Stars defender, Abdul Mumin’s goal against Osasuna has been nominated for La Liga Goal of the Month for September.

Mumin is in pole position to claim the award with his phenomenal weaker-foot strike, beating the goalkeeper from outside the box and from a difficult angle.

The defender's sensational strike was the equalizer in the game, which inspired Rayo Vallecano to come back from a goal down to win 3-1.

The goal was Mumin's first for Rayo since joining the club in 2022 from Portuguese side Vitória Guimarães.

Mumin's goal will compete with Raúl García's sensational volley for Osasuna in their defeat to Rayo and Sandro Ramirez's astonishing free-kick goal against Athletic Club. The winner of the award is expected to be announced in the coming days.
