Abdul Razak Alhassan is a Ghanaian mixed martial artist who has gained prominence in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Alhassan competes in the Welterweight and Middleweight divisions. He made his debut in 2016, knocking out Irish fighter Charlie Ward 53 seconds into the fight.
Alhassan is a fan favourite due to his exciting fighting style and ability to quickly finish fights.
In 2018, the US-based MMA artist had to overcome a significant setback to his then-promising career.
He was accused of raping two women following a party at a bar. The case stalled his career for two years.
Alhassan was found not guilty in 2020 after a jury in Tarrant County, Texas, ruled in his favour.
He was on a 10-win and 1-defeat run, winning three fights in a row and four out of his last five before his rape case.
He lost four fights after his return, taking his loss record to 6. Judo Thunder, as he is affectionately called, has a record of 12-6-0 in his professional career, with 10 of his wins coming by way of knockout.
He is currently married with two kids, a boy and a girl.
Abdul Razak Alhassan is slated to lock horns with American fighter Josh Fremd on October 12, 2024, at UFC Fight Night 244.
