Abedi Pele reunites with Crown Prince of UAE

It has emerged that legendary Ghanaian footballer, Abedi Pele was part of the President’s delegation to the United Arab Emirates.

President Akufo-Addo earlier this month paid a visit to the UAE at the invitation of the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan where five pacts were signed between the two nations.

The agreements signed include a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the exemption of entry visa requirements, an agreement for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments and an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.

The rest are an agreement in the field of manpower and an agreement on co-operation and mutual assistance in customs matters.

Among the president’s delegation for the visit, was three-time Africa Footballer of the Year, Abedi Pele.

Pictures and videos released by the Presidency has the celebrated soccer maestro exchanging pleasantries with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

At the peak of his trophy-laden career, Abedi was regarded as one of the best players in the world which earned him plaudits and admiration from all kinds of people.

Among the numerous people who fell in love with the Maestro’s exploits, is Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is said to be friends with Abedi for close to three decades.

In the video shared by the presidency, the highly revered UAE leader is seen making gestures to President Akufo-Addo during the latter’s introduction of Abedi Ayew Pele which postulates that he has known him for a long time.
