Former Ghana international Kwame Ayew has revealed that he still has a great and cordial relationship with his elder brother Abedi Ayew contrary to media speculations that they are not in good terms.

The ex-Boavista striker hinted that he is always in touch with Abedi and his sons and he is very happy with what Dede and Jordan have achieved so far in their career.

“I have a good relationship with my brother (Abedi), and we always get in touch and talk a lot. Me being a pastor and he being a Muslim is not a bane to our relationship. In my family there is freedom of worship, We were raised up as Christians but some diverted to Islam and some also don't believe in any of them.” Ayew told Starr FM

” I am very proud of Dede and Jordan. We talk regularly and I give them more advice on the game. It is overwhelming, I am even prouder than their dad and mum. The Ayew family is God-sent because there is no football family like that. They have continued from where we left off.”

“Abedi helped me a lot in my football career and I can see Dede and Jordan have the same charisma as their father. I was supposed to go and watch Aston Villa vs Swansea in Birmingham, but I could not go due to some commitments, but I will be there in January to watch them.”

The Barcelona 92 Olympic Games Football Bronze medal winner further added that he is optimistic that the Black Stars will win the 2017 AFCON in Gabon after finishing second in the last edition in Equatorial Guinea earlier this year.
