Abeiku Ainooson escapes car accident

Abeiku Ainooson, a local Black Stars defender, was on Monday involved in a car accident at Abura Dunkwa on the Cape Coast highway.

The Asante Kotoko defender went to his home town to perform the one week funeral rites of his dead father, but on his way back to Kumasi his car got involved in an accident.

The 23-year-old player sustained slight injuries and has been rushed to the Abura Dunkwa government hospital to receive treatment.

The former New Edubiase defender was very instrumental in the Local Black Stars team that reached the final of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa and was expected to make it into the provisional list of coach Kwesi Appiah for the World Cup in Brazil but, unfortunately, failed to make the cut.
