Ablade Morgan seeking floating player status

Accra, Feb 20, GNA - Ablade Morgan, one of Accra Hearts of Oak's most experienced striker has applied to the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) seeking a floating player status.

The player who has dropped in the pecking order of preference in Hearts by new Coach Mitko Dobrew is seeking the status to enable him continue his career elsewhere.


Information gathered by the GNA Sports from Hearts sources however indicates that the player has a contract valid till March this year and will have to see the rest of t he contract at the Club before contemplating any move. A statement signed by Emmanual Gyimah, Deputy General Secretary (Administration) of the GFA, also invited 19 other players and their respective Clubs to appear before the Status Committee at the New FA Secretariat on Thursday, February 22 at 2pm.


The invited players are Latif Salifu and Kwakwo Frimpong of Cita F/C, Sumaila Abubakar, Richard Armah and William Klutse all of Great Olympics F/C, Tony A. Addae of B. A. Untied, Ezekiel Nana Bamfo Maxbees F/C and Ebenezer Bonna of Indece F/C.

The others are Osborne Sakyiama of Ebony F/C, Agyapong Fredrick of Tema Hearts Babies F/C, Eric Ackon of Great Mariners F/C, Emmanuel Adu Offei of Heart of Lions F/C, Alfred Tetteh of Bafana Bafana F/C and Haruna Eliasu Tanko of Zaytuna F/C.


The rest are Alex Owusu of Midtjiland F/C, Sheba Sani of House of Lions, Goerge Quarcoo of Oscar F/C and Ahafoman F/C and Red Power F/C in respect of the player Twumasi Robert. 20 Feb. 07
