It is official. Hiplife stars Castro, Kwaw Kesse famously called Abodam, Afriyie of Wutah fame and leading female arstiste Mzbel will lead musicians expected to thrill the Sammy Kuffour Testimonial when the game in honour of the former Ghana defender finally comes alive in Kumasi on Friday.
The musicians are billed to make soccer fans and dignitaries expected at the match to enjoy not just the beautiful soccer expected to be sold by the galaxy of international stars featuring for the Friends of Sammy Kuffour as well as the Black Stars.
The musicians will thrill fans and dignitaries both at the game in the Baba Yara Stadium and at the post-match dinner at a yet to be announced location on the same Friday night.
Veteran highlife musician Pat Thomas is also on the bill and he will release a special song he collaborated with Afriyie for Sammy Kuffour at the post-match dinner and which will go on sale for the first time on Friday.
The match on Friday brings down the curtain on the over two decades career of Kuffour, easily the most decorated Ghanaian footballer in history. He won among them 6 German Bundesliga titles, five German Cups, the UEFA Champions’ League and the World Club Cup with German giants Bayern Munich.
