Cape Coast, Dec 26, GNA - Aboom circuit emerged the overall champions with a total of 133 points in the Cape Coast Municipal Basic Schools Inter Circuit Athletics Competition held at the Adisadel School Park on Tuesday.
Pedu Circuit took the second position with 130 points, Ola was third with 129 points and Efutu Circuit placed fourth with 112 points. Bakaano circuit came fifth with 97 points, followed by Cape Coast Circuit with 74 points.
In the boys' division, Aboom Circuit came first with 81 points, Ola was second with 70 points while Pedu took the third spot with 68 1/2 points and Efutu placed fourth with 51 points. Cape Coast Circuit was fifth with 46 points and Bakaano placed sixth with 41 points.
In the girls' division, Pedu circuit came first with 62 points, Efutu was second with 61 points while Ola Circuit placed third with 59 points. Bakaano circuit was fourth with 56 points while Aboom Circuit was fifth 52 points and Cape Coast Circuit placed sixth with 28 points. Prizes and certificates were awarded to deserving athletes.
