Black Stars psychologist Professor J.K Mintah has advised Premier League clubs to terminate their pre-season programmes.
Mintah, a former Ebusua Dwarfs trainer, has warned player could exceed their peak before the start of the new season.
The start of the Ghanaian top-flight has been delayed due to a legal tussle between Tema Youth and Dreams FC.
Youth are challenging the promotion of Dreams FC at the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
The latest stand-off has led to the undue delay of the local league amid serious financial implication for clubs.
The experienced trainer has advised club to abort their pre-season plans until a final date is fixed for the start of the league.
“All the clubs have to stop their pre-season because no one knows when the Premier League will start," he told Accra-based Asempa FM
"If they are not careful, they will exceed their peak before the league starts.
If I could advise, I would ask them to slow down,” Mintah."
Ashantigold and Medeama could be the heaviest hit ahead their participation in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup next year respectively.
