Ghanaian pair of Mohammed Abu and Bismark Adjei-Boateng saw their dreams of playing in the Norwegian Cup final dashed on Thursday after they lost 2-1 with their Stromsgodset side against Kongsvinger in the semi-finals.
Both players, formerly of Manchester City and Right to Dream Academy, lasted the entire period of the game at Marienlyst Stadion in Drammen as they disappointingly lost to the second-tier side.
The two players were hoping to clash with their former club team-mate Adam Kwarasey whose Rosenborg BK won against Bodo/Glimt to book their ticket in the final.
With Stromsgodset falling far behind in the title race, the latest nightmare means there would be no European action for them next season.
