Black Stars striker David Accam has admitted facing difficulties in adjusting to the Major League Soccer after joining Chicago Fires earlier this year.

Accam was the chief tormentor for Helsingborg in Sweden where he bagged 30 goals in 62 appearances but opted for the MLS when the offer was irresistible.

Accam, 25, has admitted that playing in the Major League Soccer posed a lot of difficulties for him initially but he has since adjusted.

In an exclusive interview with GHANAsoccernet.com, David Accam said moving away from Sweden was hard but had no option because he needed a new experience after spending two seasons in the Allsvenskan.

“It was great experience for me. I really enjoyed my first season in the MLS even though we had a difficult season. Moving from one league to the other is obviously not easy but I am adjusting,” Accam said.

“I am however happy with the goals I scored because their league is very strong with many experienced players,” he added.

The young Black Stars attacker registered ten goals out of twenty-four appearances in the Major League Soccer since joining them on December 19, 2014.
