Accam hoping Grant’s appointment will end Ghana’s trophy drought

Ghana's new Chicago Fire striker David Accam is hoping Avram Grant’s appointment as Black Stars Head Coach will end the Black Stars 32-year trophy drought to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I know Avram Grant is a quality coach. He has coached at a high level so he will bring a lot of options and qualities to the team, and I hope this will change something in Black Stars and bring us trophies,” Accam said.

With no experience in coaching on the continent, the former Chelsea Boss is faced with a tough test of ensuring the Black Stars progress from Group C of the Equatorial Guinea 2015 tournament, which features Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.
