Accra Lions' winger Daniel Awuni joins Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08

Accra Lions have announced that 18-year-old winger Daniel Awuni has been loaned to Norwegian side Eliteserien side Sarpsborg 08 until July 31, 2025.

The deal includes an option for Sarpsborg 08 to make the move permanent at the end of the loan period.

Awuni, who has been a key player for Accra Lions since joining in the 2021/22 season, made 86 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, scoring eight goals and contributing several assists during his time with the club.

In a statement confirming the loan, Accra Lions said, "We are pleased to announce the loan transfer of our winger Daniel Awuni to Norwegian Eliteserien club Sarpsborg 08. We wish him the best of luck in his new challenge!"

The young winger will look to make an impact in Norway as he embarks on this exciting new phase of his career.
