Accra Open Squash championship comes off at Tesano

Accra, Sept. 25, GNA - The First Accra Open Squash Championship will come off at the Tesano Sports Club in Accra on Saturday and Sunday, September 27 and 28. Mrs Priscilla Owusu Ansah, Secretary General of the Ghana Squash Association who announced this in Accra on Thursday, said five clubs are expected to participate in the two-day event, which is being sponsored by Facol Roads Limited. She said the participating clubs are the host, Tesano Sports Club, Burma Camp Sports Club, Enterprise Insurance Company Sports Club (EIC), Tema Sports Club and Ghana Cocoa Board Sports Club. Kofi Nkrumah of Tesano Club would take on George Ofosuhene of Burma Camp in the opening match followed by an encounter between Mark Danso of Burma Camp and Edward Nutsugah of EIC Club in the second match with Bernard Quaye of Tema Club clashing against Kwasi Agyeman of Tesano Club in the third match.

The fourth game will see Abeiku Bentil of EIC Club pitching his strength against Daniel Kwaku of Tesano Club, Vincent Agovi of EIC Club face Albert Warrior of Tema Club while Patrick Asare of Burma Camp engage George Lartey of EIC in a fierce contest. The over-all winner would receive a trophy and 150 Ghana Cedis whilst the runner-up receives 100 Ghana Cedis.
