Accra stadium to be cleansed

A CLEANSING ceremony is expected to be performed at the Accra Sports stadium next week, following the tragic deaths of 126 football fans.

The ceremony will precede the probable re-commencement of the Star Premier League on Sunday, May 27.

The General Secretary of the Ghanaian FA, Worlanyo Agra, who announced the cleansing ceremony, noted that despite the suspension of the domestic game following the May 9 tragedy, the Ghana Football Association will keep to its international assignments, including next month's Nations Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe in Harare.
