Achimota Seniors Golf tees off on Saturday

Accra, Dec. 19, GNA - This year's Achimota Golf Club Seniors Open Championship will tee off at the Achimota Golf Course, Accra on Saturday, December 22.

Mr Kwesi Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club who announced this in Accra on Wednesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition, which is open to the senior golfers aged between 55 years and above, is expected to attract more than 100 participants. He said the event, which would be played under the rules of the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club, has attractive prizes at stake. Mr Oteng-Aboagye said some of the golfers expected to take part in the competition, which is the last competition for the year 2007, include Mike Ezan, President of the Club, Dan Dennis, Paul List, Charles Tabi and Mike Ben-George.

The others are made up of the female competitors such as veteran Mona Captan, Mary Asafu-Adjaye, Clara Price and Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah.
