Ghana duo Afriyie Acquah and Alfred Duncan were handed starting roles as Sampdoria rallied to beat Richmond Boakye’s Atalanta 2-1 on the road in the Serie A on Sunday.
Acquah played the entire duration, but Duncan was replaced in stoppage time for the Blucerchiati after the two goals have been scored.
Boakye climbed off the bench on 73 minutes to replace Daniele Baselli after Sampdoria had drawn level through Luis Fernando Muriel.
Sampdoria snatched the winner in the 81st minute Stefano Okaka.
