Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah has said he is elated to have returned to the Black Stars after months of absence.

The Ukraine-based attacker who plies his trade with Arsenal Kiev has been in and out of the national team in recent years. He believes his call-up for the Egypt game could not have come at any better time.

“I'm very delighted to have been called up again and this means the coach has been satisfied with my output recently,” the former AC Milan man told Goal. “I have always been told to keep on fighting and that was exactly what I have been doing with my club and I have scored some goals and upped my game as well.”

“I have always wanted to represent this nation at every level in every competition and I will never relent on that,” the 2009 Under-20 Golden Boot winner added.

The 23-year-old also stressed the importance of the Egypt match claiming the players will put up their best to kill off the tie in Cairo.

“Every player who was called is not going to walk into this match thinking it’s an easy one because football can be unpredictable so we will still fight and kill it off,” Adiyiah said.

Ghana will play Egypt on November 19 in Cairo in the final of a two-legged World Cup play-off.
