Bristol City winger Albert Adomah is the first player to arrive as Ghana opened their camp in London on Sunday ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Nigeria.

The 23-year-old, who is making his first appearance in the Black Stars, arrived at the team hotel at 10am on Sunday.

His appearance shows his seriousness towards the Ghana national team as he fights to gain a regular place in the side.

Adomah was met by team officials at the team hotel as he waits for the other player to start arriving from Sunday night.

The speedster received his first call-up to Goran Stevanovic’s 19-man squad last week for the game which will be played at Watford’s stadium on 9 August.

His swift arrival in camp has impressed officials and supporters of the team about his work ethic and commitment.

Adomah, who was voted as City’s Player of the Year last season after a scintillating 2010/11, has always maintained his desire to gain international recognition and will be undoubtedly thrilled by the news.

“I hope to play internationally with Ghana,” Adomah previously said. “That’s where my family are all from, it’s my homeland and there would be no bigger honour than playing for my country.”

Should Alby impress on debut, City face the prospect of losing their star winger in the New Year, as the Black Stars will be competing in the African Cup of Nations.
