Ghana international Albert Adomah is still on course to hitting Ghanaian football screens every weekend as his English Championship club strengthen their fight to play in the English Premier League next season.

Middlesbrough, Adomah’s club, climbed to the top of the English Championship on Good Friday after their game against Wigan Athletic.

The Black Stars player started and played in the full duration of the game that saw his Middlesbrough side win at home via a goal by Patrick Bamford.

Middlesbrough now lead the Championship log on 75 points having played a game more that second placed AFC Bournemouth who are on 73 points.

The Ghanaian player and his side have played 40 league games this season with six more to go. Middlesbrough will automatically qualify to the English Premier League if they maintain their first position or place second in the Championship.

They would have to go through some rounds of play-offs if they slip to the third position on the log up to sixth. The last playoff club currently on the log is Wolverhampton Wanderers who have 68 points.
