Hearts of Oak Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV believes that the team will do well despite the actions of its 'saboteurs'.

It’s been a tough few weeks for the giants of Accra, following a series of uninspiring incidents on and off the field. But after their outstanding 3-2 comeback win against RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, the board chairman says the club will stand strong.

"I am not worried about whatever saboteurs are out there because I know that we will work hard and, together with the Almighty, and I believe that the saboteurs, if there are any, will fail," he said.

The Board Chairman also charged all true Hearts fans to stay with the club in these trying times, to help leave a better legacy.

"If they are true lovers of Hearts, they must wish Hears well no matter who is in leadership. That's because nobody can be in leadership forever. Hearts was there before we were born and it will be there after we are gone. All true lovers should give unflinching support to the mighty oak tree."

An injury time winner helped Hearts bring their three-game losing run to an end as they beat Real Tamale United, with second half substitute Edward Affum scoring the final goal late on.

The win handed acting head coach Ben Adjei a winning start after taking charge of the Phobians last Wednesday following the sacking of C.K. Akunnor for non-performance.
