Africa Golden Gloves Warrior outlines plan for 2011

Accra, Feb. 1, GNA - The Africa Golden Gloves Warrior (AGGW) will on Thursday, February 3 organise a media briefing to unveil its programmes for the year at the Prisons Canteen, Cantonment, Accra. Gideon Quartey, local representative of AGGW told GNA Sports that the media briefing will highlight on programmes such as the Amateur Boxing League, training and other development programs geared towards the development of the sport in the country.

Accra, Feb. 1, GNA - The Africa Golden Gloves Warrior (AGGW) will on Thursday, February 3 organise a media briefing to unveil its programmes for the year at the Prisons Canteen, Cantonment, Accra. Gideon Quartey, local representative of AGGW told GNA Sports that the media briefing will highlight on programmes such as the Amateur Boxing League, training and other development programs geared towards the development of the sport in the country. He added that AGGW intends to extend its arms to other countries in the African sub-region in line with their vision of forging a new ray of hope for amateur and professional boxing. The AGGW is the latest sanctioning body for the noble art of self defence and its objectives includes developing both amateur and professiona= l boxing in the country and the Africa continent. Its commitments include the development of boxing in all areas from administration to management and technical as well as soliciting media support in their quest to propel boxing on the African continent to reach attainable heights.
